You Have Time to Read?

Welcome to Mommies of Miracles’ Book Study.

MOM will select different books and invite the author,
or a dedicated reader to lead us in a book study. We will offer a break down of the book, questions, forum discussions, and a way to interact with other MOMs without having to line up child care or designate a driver. We know all of you are very busy, and finding time to sit down at all can sometimes be a challenge, much less time to read. We will try to set up the studies on a relaxed reading schedule. We will also try to select books that we think most of you will enjoy or get something out of. If there is a book you would like to see added, or if you are interested in leading a study group, please email us at mommiesofmiracles@gmail.com.

About the Author: Jolene Philo

I’m the parent of a child with special needs and the daughter of a man who lived with multiple sclerosis for 38 years. I taught school for 25 years before becoming a speaker and writer. “A Different Dream for My Child: Meditations for Parents of Critically or Chronically Ill Children” was published by Discovery House Publishers (DHP) in 2009. “Different Dream Parenting: A Practical Guide to Raising a Child with Special Needs” was released by the same publisher in November of 2011.

My blog, www.DifferentDream.com, connects parents of kids with special needs to resources they don’t have time to find. I blog about life along the gravel road and anything else that strikes my fancy at www.jolenephilo.com.

I speak about special needs parenting around the United States. Traveling is much easier now that my husband Hiram and I are empty nesters. Our kids got married within 3 months of each other in 2010. Much of our recent travel has revolved around helping the two couples to new schools, new jobs, new digs. You know the drill.

A Different Dream is also on Facebook.
